Ayyampet is a small town situated in Thanjavur District, southern part of Tamilnadu, India. This is a town filled with dynamic people who are into various business, mostly men are the breadwinners and women, the homemakers.

 

At least one member of each of the family resides outside of India. Either they are in Middle East countries, or South East Asian countries. To connect to their loved ones, almost every household needs a broadband connection. And they have only one choice; to get broadband service from a government run organization.

 

To start with, it’s very difficult to get a new connection, sometimes have to wait for months. And the pain continues with the service, it works intermittently and it stops working for weeks.

At this technology era, everyone has the right to receive broadband services at its ultimate glory. With this thought in mind, we at SkyTel Technologies decided to provide broadband services. The idea of SkyTel Technologies is to provide high tech but yet simple and stable broadband connections to this town.

 

We collaborated with MINS Technologies, Coimbatore in setting up WiMax broadband services in Ayyampet. To start with, we are covering the whole town of Ayyampet with adding neighboring towns Mangudi, Valuthoor, Pandaravadai and Rajagiri at a later stage.

 

The core idea of SkyTel Technologies is to provide broadband solutions in rural areas of southern districts of Tamilnadu, and to provide broadband leased lines to well established businesses in major towns like Thanjavur, Kumbakonam and Trichy.
